Firms must be able to provide their own fire-fighting equipment and not be dependent on Florida Division of Forestry (DOF) standby. Prescribed Burner Certification by the State of Florida Division of Forestry and compliance with Certified Burner Statutes is required.

Restoration for fire and water damage to buildings.

Professional forest management, forest appraisal, and forest inventory services relative to tracts of forest land in north central Florida..

Individuals or firms that provide professional forest management services for tracts of forestland in North Central Florida. These forestry services would include timber inventory and harvest planning, timber appraisal, timber marking, field and administrative oversight of timber sales, boundary marking, forest health analysis, aerial inspections, forest stand mapping, and GIS mapping.

Testing and evaluation of geology, aquifer properties, well logging, artesian well plugging, or geotechnical studies relating to surface resistivity, geophysical logging/interpretation, and lineament mapping.

Individuals or firms that are properly licensed and certified to remove and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.

Individuals or firms that provide historical and archaeological research services for District lands including background material checks, site surveys, mapping of known sites and preparation of grant proposals.

Professional services encompassing the disciplines of surfacewater flow (discharge) and stage (level) measurements, groundwater level measuremets, field network maintenance, and management of collected data.

Professional services regarding critical review of existing District programs and databases, assistance to staff in documentation as needed, and techical assistance to staff in creating or reformatting databases and documentation.

Items used to promote the District

State Certified General Real Estate Appraisers experienced in the appraisal of environmentally sensitive lands.

Construction of river access structures, picnic shelters, site clearing, etc. on District lands.

Individuals or firms that provide daily site maintenance at designated high recreation areas on District lands including: clean up, trash collection, repair of vandalism, minor area brushing and service mowing, general maintenance services on gates and fencing including painting and waterproofing, fence construction and other services as may be needed from time to time.

Design of restoration projects including erosion control, restoration of springs, lakes, river banks, wetland creation.

Growing, harvesting, packaging, and delivery of bare-root slash and longleaf pine seedlings, and containerized longleaf pine seedlings for planting.

Provide metal, wood, and temporary plastic signs for identification of District lands.

Preparation of forest lands prior to tree planting.

Florida registered Professional Land Surveyor services.

Equipment, installation, and service of telephone systems.

Environmental evaluation and assessment of District lands or lands subject to District regulatory programs.
