2026 District Photography Competition

The Suwannee River Water Management District wants your help to raise awareness of the beauty and significance of our natural resources by participating in a District lands photo contest. 

The District invites photographers of all skill levels to capture the spirit of our District-owned lands and help us spotlight the need for their conservation and protection. Winning photos will be featured in the upcoming 2026 District Calendar, which will highlight District initiatives and other water management activities.

All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on September 20 for consideration. Submissions will be judged by a four-person District panel during the month of October. 

Thirteen photos will be selected – a cover photo and 12 monthly photos. Photographers whose photos are chosen will receive credit for their work, receive copies of the calendar, and be recognized for their efforts on District social media platforms. 

Winners will be announced by the end of October.

  2. Share your photos with us! 

    For each image, please include the location and any other pertinent details, such as time of year or a specific event that would help us better identify your work. 

    A maximum of five images can be submitted by one photographer. 

    By submitting your images, you are granting the District permission to utilize these photos in our upcoming calendar - if selected - as well as social media. Ownership rights will remain with the photographer and credit will be given for any future use by the District. 

    If your photo is selected, the District will be in contact to discuss usage and timeline.
