The Suwannee River Water Management District is committed to assisting communities and organizations with access to resources and funding opportunities that may be available at State and Federal agencies in addition to Funding Initiatives offered through the District.

- December 4, 2025 Announcement
- The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation recently announced the release of the 2026 Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP will award funding for on-the-ground projects that accelerate longleaf pine restoration to support wildlife, sequester carbon, safeguard water quality, and increase forest resilience. Limited funding also is available to support bottomland hardwood restoration and enhancement activities. Proposals are due Thursday, January 29th, 2026. Awards are expected to range between $250,000 to $2,000,000. Visit the NFWF webpage for program and application information.
- July 10, 2025 Announcement
- Economic Development Administration (EDA) FY 2025 Disaster Supplemental Grant Program makes approximately $1.45 billion in disaster recovery funding available to American communities that received major disaster declarations due to hurricanes, wildfires, severe storms and flooding, tornadoes, and other natural disasters occurring in calendar years 2023 and 2024.
- Readiness and Implementation grant applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing (rolling) basis until funds are exhausted or the Notice of Funding Opportunity is canceled.
